We would like to inform you that during the middle of June month, GEAF will have available a new machine for production of car seat covers using H.F. embossing on textile.

GEAF LEADING THE FIELD WITH NEW TECHNOLOGY FOR CAR SEAT COVERS

GEAF are the market leader for this technology. They have supplied over the last year 10 machines to a German OEM company for the production of car seat covers for the automotive market.

The technology is state-of-the-art and has been innovated by  the GEAF company. The machines have a power 60 kW, are side trays model with 1000 x 1500 mm dimensions and have a closing force of 40 tons. 

The seat cover, composed of coupled fabric with PU foam is embossed with the high frequency welding process. We can weld on the back of the linings one or more fabric tapes for fixing the lining to the seat frame. This allows the fabric manufacturers to produce fabrics at low cost since they are subsequently embossed with the radio frequency process. The same type of fabric can be used on different models of car by changing the embossing tooling. 

From last year, this solution has been adopted on many cars produced from FIAT and LANCIA group and now this solution has been adopted by the VOLKSWAGEN group.
